DUKE was fluent in French, German and English when he enlisted in 1967. After graduating at the top of his class from airborne school, Fort Benning, he opted for U.S. Army Special Language School. There, he specialized in Han Chinese and South East Asian dialects and went on to the special forces in 1969. DUKE worked with tribesmen in the boonies of South Vietnam. H ran four different special forces schools and turned down a commission in 1971. This Master Sergeant commands by winning respect. His current assignment is Acting First Sergeant, G.I. JOE team
